Calling all artists, designers, and decorators! Request for Proposals: Graphic and Stage Design
Calling all artists, designers, and decorators!
Two of the largest elements at any TEDx event are the design of the event and the stage itself. In order to make this as inclusive as possible, we would like to request local artists, decorators, set and event designers, and all creative people to submit a proposal for what you think would best represent our area.
This is a unique opportunity to explore what you would do with a TEDx event, and we are sure that it will be a portfolio piece for years to come! The design of the event will live on in professional photos and videos on the TEDxMcAllen site as well as the TEDx YouTube channel.
If you are not an artist, designer, decorator, or event person but know someone who is, please share this with them.
We look forward to your creativity!

TEDxMcAllen is an independently organized event licensed by TED. We strive to hold the ideals and maintain the quality that you would find at a TED event. To maintain our licenses organizers must stay true to a strict set of rules enforced by TED. Designers must maintain these rules.
Our audience are highly influential members of the greater McAllen community who are open to new ideas. Our event should reflect progress and moving forward, with a touch of local flair.
The theme of our 2015 event is Breaking Borders. While we do want to address our relation to the physical border we share with Mexico, we also want to address a greater metaphoric border that we are crossing as our region is expanding commercially, technologically and culturally.
